Extracurricular: Stop Using The Punisher's Skull

  Time after time, I see people with the iconic Punisher skull as a bumper sticker on their car or something. If it's the normal skull and you have it there because you are a fan of the character, great. I have several pieces of Punisher merch with his skull logo because I'm a huge fan of his character.
   But I hate it when people co-opt the logo with some political cause or opinion. I saw someone with a sticker that was the Punisher skull wearing a MAGA hat. I can guarantee you the Punisher is not a Trump supporter. He doesn't care for the government either way. 
    What's even worse than that is when people use the Punisher skull along with the police pride flag. I'm sorry, cops, but there a thousand better heroes to use as a symbol than the one who guns down all the criminals he comes across. You are part of the justice system. You represent society. You are supposed to stand for due process, which the Punisher stands in direct opposition of. You are supposed to bring criminals in for trial and sentencing, while the Punisher is a criminal himself. You don't get it. Same goes for the military using his logo. You guys went so far misusing the skull that Marvel decided to change it for the new comic series. Hope you're happy.
    In an issue of a Punisher comic, he says to some cops who are wearing his logo, "I'll say this once. We're not the same. You took an oath to uphold the law, you help people. I gave that all up a long time ago. You don't do what I do. Nobody does. You boys need a role model? His name is Captain America, and he'd be happy to have you." The Punisher himself wants you to stop using his skull, so stop.
That's right, we're doing a spin-off, baby.
Anyway, I thought of this "extracurricular" idea because I sometimes write my blogs as if I'm a teacher talking to his class, and this is a way to get out my sort of ranty ideas without turning a whole blog episode into a rant. This allows me to save more proper discussions of stuff for full episodes and keeps the little rants out. Stay tuned for more extracurriculars as well as more regular episodes!

Ranking Every Concert I Went To In 2024

  As of this writing, it is September 28, 2024. I have been to six concerts this year. The Linkin Park Situation

   In 2017, the music world was shaken with the terrible news that Chester Bennington, lead vocalist and frontman of Linkin Park, had committed suicide. Linkin Park broke up, and for the following years they sporadically dropped unreleased songs and anniversary releases and stuff.    Jump to fairly recently, and they announced they're coming back. They've already released a single, announced an album and tour dates, and are already performing. Mike Shinoda, the guy who did co-lead vocals with Chester Bennington, is still doing co-lead vocals, but now they've also got this new singer, Emily Armstrong, who apparently also sings for a band called Dead Sara.     And she's controversial. Tours Through Discographies: Green Day

   I finally saw Green Day the other night! I loved the show so much I have made the decision that they are now my #1 favorite band (sorry, Bastille). Not every album is great, but the ones that are great are more than great - they're legendary.    I know I don't shut up about American Idiot, but it's not even just that one. Dookie, Nimrod, 21st Century Breakdown, and even the newest one, Saviors, are arguably just as legendary. They've created literal stories with their music, maintained their relevance since the eighties and on, and their literally in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Plus, all three of them are insanely talented.
